Looking back, this ABBA-themed Iranian missile launch was probably the height of surreality and all-out weirdness in 2025. Boy were we cooking with gas that summer...
SatanWatch 👿@_SatanWatch

Doing some synchromystic research. The song playing in this clip is a remix of ABBA's great femcel anthem "Gimme Gimme Gimme." The B-side of that single was, no shit, "The King Has Lost His Crown." I'll leave it to you guys to work out the implications.

its crazy how quickly the dominant generational cohort switched from boomers to millenials, totally skipping gen X and dwarfing gen Z. marketing is gonna be millenial coded forever. you best be ready to hear tame impala and MGMT while youre grocery shopping for the next 40 years

Alcohol used to be much cleaner. You could drink it all night and then wake up and feel great. Go work out, ace the test, attend classes, etc. But now you have a few drinks at night and you’re tired the next day. What the hell are they putting in alcohol these days?

What we do today echoes in eternity. For potentially millions of years, your actions will shape the land, culture, gene pool, and politics of humanity... Alexander died at 32 of either poison or sepsis from an old wound... a reign that might have lasted 50 more years and defined millennia of history, cut short by an anonymous foe or assassin whose name wasn't even known in his time. think of how old you are now if you are 20 you have 3 maybe four more of the stretch you just lived, if 30 merely 2, if 40 only 1... If you're lucky. Life flits away like a distracted afternoon... would you really notice a missing hour? If between 12 and 9 the hour between 6 and 7 went missing in your case? on how many days would you even notice? I wonder at how many people worry how long they'll live... but not IF they'll live. How many shudders at the risk some great danger or violence might befall them, but not at what great prize or glory might be won amidst that danger and violence... especially when the most horrific and torturous violence of old age MUST otherwise befall them. Modern tellings of the Illiad inevitably conclude Achilles was wrong to go to Troy, that ever-lasting glory was not worth his, inevitably short, decades of old age... but the moderns are inevitably children of peace and safety... the Greeks who'd known danger and warfare all their lives never doubted fortune and glory were worthwhile prizes, even to be lost

In 1797, the Persian King Agha Mohammad Khan ordered the execution of two servants for being too loud. After a prominent emir interceded, their execution was postponed by a day so that it wouldn't fall on Friday, the Islamic holy day. They were sent back to work in the meantime. They assassinated the king while he slept sleep that night.
