By the way, 94% of teachers have had to dip into their own pockets to buy school supplies. It would take the typical teacher almost four years to make the average Wall Street employee bonus ($257,500). I’m guessing Wall Street firms don’t make traders pay for their own pencils.

You know….this whole teacher shortage wouldn’t exist if we just payed teachers more and made it a more competitive paying career. Make teaching more lucrative and I bet you’d see a spike in people wanting to be teachers and improve quality.
