@storyandplot @BlankAlwaysWins It is. Not watched last film yet, didn’t get to watch it with nan before she passed. Been meaning to marathon films again, 2 was my fav, 4 was nan’s (she loved westerns but we both like Bert’s character).

TREMORS remains one of my favorite creature features. The screenwriting doesn't try to do too much. It takes a simple premise of "Jaws on land" and executes it with joy and affection. It has legitimate tension, fantastic performances, and a terrific sense of humor. The reveal in this clip of just how many weapons they have in their "rec room" is a superb example. Just great storytelling. I was in college and a part-time manager of a movie theatre when this was released. We would have midnight showing the night before a film opened to test the print, and we had no idea what to expect with this one. It was such a wonderful surprise. I still kind of light up when it's mentioned. One of my favorite monster flicks as a kid was "THEM!", and this feels like it should fill that slot nicely for generations today. If you haven't seen TREMORS, make a point. I love this movie.

@pombian Definitely see this being future merch. Can also see a gangle version where spudsey mask is a rare one & super rare is her as the rhino. Zooble’s would be the various parts, like gun with extra arms & their flamingo version.

@storyandplot @BlankAlwaysWins Still an amazing film franchise, surprised it’s not had another sequel with some of the original cast. (Or even a new series, there’s potential for a really good story, like Grady’s theme park, or people experimenting on the grabiods, or a variant species/natural predator.)

@BlackMajikMan90 I don’t get it cos it was a decent modern adaptation & was promising for an interesting sequel that would have Tommy & zedd.

The failure of the 2017 Power Rangers movie will never not hurt and it seemed like it had everything going for it. - A favorable release date with Fate of the Furious not releasing until 3 weeks later. - A very reasonable 100 million dollar budget - Good trailers and a good marketing strategy - A cool update for modern audiences and the new generation. Yet when the movie released, almost no one was interested; not even the toy line sold well. I’ll never understand why.

@pomnismoocher Got positive feedback from kinema in the woods, a unique cinema in my neck of the woods in the uk, they’ll consider it if other cinemas in uk screen it, & there’s lots of support for screenings across the country.
