late post cuz i was procastinating :
from late-night hacks → BEST bus rides → to a 2x hackathon win
@ethmumbai just got over it, and yeah… this one was something else
met some really great people, some crazy builders
and yeah, we ended up winning 2x hackathons & multiple tracks (1st) :
@base, @HeyElsaAI & @ensdomains combined pool
the funny part is… this almost didn’t happen
my original team dropped at the last moment
and I was just sitting there like, should i even go?
what if it turns out like my last bad hackathon…even i was leaving my college last fest for it...
- almost cancelled ngl
but then i was like…fuck it
just go for the love of the game
- no big plans, no expectations
just FAFO
(and super thanks to @SoumikBaksi bhaiya, your guidance genuinely helped me get clarity this time.)
i put out a post for teammates and randomly got a message from @StackDhruv
i didn’t think much, just went for it and bro... what a guy, pushed me a lot (also made me feel like i should be doing more 😭 and thanks mere kapde kharab nahi kiye zyda...)
then got introduced to @divyyirl bro literally goes sherlock mode on problems,
while talking around, we met @MaltaParikh ,she was hacking solo
and we were like… let’s just team up, why not (just for the love of the game)
and that’s how a random team of 4 got formed
no one knew each other before this
when hacking started… we were like
“yeh toh hojayega, aaj toh chill karenge."
But lol, reality check hit hard
mentor @mxxnwolf and @AhaanRaizada literally showed us the bigger picture
and we realised our idea was flawed
then what??
we scrapped it completely.
6 hours gone. no idea.
that moment… yeah, felt a bit shit
took a break, walked around, cleared head
then started thinking from scratch , what’s actually missing?
and somehow… we found something
shoutout to @mxxnwolf for that clarity and intuition
- idea around x402 + superfluid which was risky, messy, not very clear
but we were like… let’s just do it
no overthinking this time
- next 24 hours are pure grind
only one goal: give our absolute best
- no proper sleep
just building, breaking, fixing, again building
everyone went beyond comfort zone fr
and then came D-Day.
we didn’t even think “ab kya hoga."
we were just like, "Jo hoga dekha jayega."
i remember sitting for lunch with @localhost_ayush.
and i literally said “aage dekhi jayegi”
was just living the moment… roaming streets of mumbai, no overthinking
just before results, i even wrote a long-ass note to myself to calm down
and then results came
- we were shocked.
- we won at EthMumbai!?
and not just won , way more than we expected
~$1200 straight..
that moment i was just like…
“all the work paid off."
“mumbai trip bhi recover ho gaya." 😭
i still remember landing in mumbai thinking
“let’s just do it."
- then BEST bus rides, roaming around, no clue what’s ahead
and then entering the venue , that energy, that chaos…
somewhere i just felt , nah… ab karna hai properly,
we didn’t have a perfect plan
just kept figuring things out as we went
and somehow… it worked!!
also really grateful to @AhaanRaizada and @sumedha2199 for fair judging and clear feedback. 🙌and of course @ensdomains, @base, and @HeyElsaAI for the bounties!!
met some super amazing oomfs from X : especially @Misbahtwts (bro's words literally made me feel empowered) and @localhost_ayush (met quite unusually xD)
also @Kartikstwt, @aadiityastwt, and @Deven1412147, many such cracked devs learned a lot just by just being around them
this one reminded me why i started doing hackathons,
sometimes you don’t need everything sorted
just show up…and FAFO
baaki ho jaata hai : )

Goodbye @ethmumbai 💙
Came here as hackers, leaving with memories, new friends, lessons, and a lot of motivation.
These past few days were full of building, debugging, pitching, laughing, and just living the hackathon life properly.
That’s a wrap for @ethmumbai 🚀
