Jacques Delors was a visionary architect of European integration. On the day of his memorial service in Paris, EU flags fly at half-mast in his honour.

Today, Europe bids farewell to one of its great architects – Jacques Delors. We join France in paying tribute to a Commission President who played a pivotal role in uniting Europe. His legacy lives on in the vigour of our single market and the strength of the currency we share.
