With more than 9 out of every 10 flights departing on schedule in May, the airport has secured the highest OTP among the country's 10 busiest airports. This milestone reflects the coordinated efforts of airport stakeholders and the unwavering commitment of teams working round the clock to ensure safe, efficient and seamless operations for every passenger.

Following WHO’s declaration of the Ebola outbreak as a Public Health Emergency, @DGCAIndia has issued SOPs for Ebola preparedness at Indian airports. AAI International Airports have strengthened health surveillance measures for passengers arriving from or transiting through affected countries, including DR Congo, Uganda and South Sudan, with mandatory self-declaration and health screening protocols in place.

Inspiring Young Wings Through Aviation Excellence AAI’s Imphal Airport @ImphalAPD commenced National Cadet Corps (NCC) Microlight Familiarisation Camp yesterday, offering unique opportunity for 350 cadets to experience powered flying and gain immersive exposure to the world of aviation. The camp was conducted with 03 aircraft (Virus 80) and 04 experienced pilots, enabling cadets to closely witness aviation operations. Through such initiatives, AAI continues to inspire young aspirations and strengthen aviation awareness among nextGen.

At Xi’an city of China, AAI received the official insignia from the China West Airport Group, the hosts of Routes Asia 2026, formally handing over the hosting responsibilities for the 2027 edition to the Airports Authority of India. Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. @narendramodi ji, India has emerged as one of the fastest-growing aviation markets in the world and the third-largest aviation economy.
