
Shri Santosh Sarangi, Secretary, MNRE chaired a roundtable on “Unlocking Financing Pathways for India’s Net-Zero Energy Transition: Strategies for Industry-Finance Collaboration” organised in collaboration with US–India Strategic Partnership Forum at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan, today.
He reaffirmed India’s commitment to achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity, emphasising the need for strong industry participation and enabling financing frameworks to support the country’s clean energy transition.
Industry stakeholders actively shared insights on strengthening industry–finance linkages, including the need for innovative financing instruments, streamlined processes, and improved capital access to accelerate investment. Discussions also focused on mobilising domestic capital, enhancing investor confidence, and creating scalable financing models to ensure a smoother, faster flow of investment into the renewable energy sector.
