I am shocked and saddened by reports that at least 10 refugees living in Sudan have died in an attack in Khartoum. UNHCR is trying to reach and provide support to survivors. All civilians are in danger in Sudan. Guns must be silenced if lives are to be saved and aid delivered.

More than 150,000 people have now fled Sudan, where fighting between military leaders continues: both Sudanese citizens and refugees hosted in Sudan have crossed into Egypt, South Sudan, Chad and other countries. Needs are huge. Resources are scarce. Aid is required, urgently!

In June, UEFA and UNHCR will host the Unity Euro Cup ⚽️, a football tournament that brings together national teams of refugees and local youth from across Europe to play together and connect. This year both Finland 🇫🇮 and Latvia 🇱🇻 are participating in the tournament.
