@aaliyahpls It is extreme! Due to varies issues of past employees making questionable posts on social media, previous higher ups started firing and suspending people for the smallest things on social media, to the point where a lot of coworkers have that thought before posting ☹️

@aallanutrocket1 I feel like that's a little extreme, but, I worked at a place that actually paid all expenses for one of the employees to go to rehab-- in California no less. If you want to share you're mimosa with your friends then do it, it could literally be worse #UTcommtheory

If I were to post something as simple as "enjoying this mimosa" my friends will know I am enjoying a mimosa most likely because it was free and I am cheap. whereas coworkers might think I have a drinking problem and suggest firing and/or sending me to AA #utcommtheory

I think communication technology negatively impacted our experience of COVID because it LITERALLY gave people a screen to hide behind. This came through with furloughs, job loses, and other sensitive information that would be harder to give face to face. #UTcommtheory

My husband using aggressive separation. He isnt American. He always puts down American culture & says "You dont understand, that's just the American way & it is crap, back home..." its frustrating, due to being born & raised here. I think I know the "American way" #UTcommtheory

@acherry333 I do that too! I work shifts. When I went to a new shift the supervisor went "yea okay. You can stop that now. Just be yourself" I was like "thank goodness! Do I HAVE to be chatty or can I keep to myself?" She said just to be myself and I could finally breath #utcommtheory

I think the organizations that could use a culture shift is most retail stores. Most have low pay for their workers, long hours dealing with the public, and little support from corporate. Only a few do it better, with better pay and opportunities. #UTcommtheory

One type of organization that can use a culture shift is law enforcement. Law enforcement is typically negative and people become cynical. I would recommend going to admin and requesting a culture analysis, and implement training #utcommtheory

I enjoy jump scaring people. I know I could be punched in the face however the reaction (reward) of scaring someone is much great than the incentive to change my behavior. #UTcommtheory
