I came up to the @MLB in 1992 and stayed there through 2001. 9 years and 15 days of #mlb service during the STEROID era. The term “If you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying” was commonly used. Players were doing anything and everything to gain an edge on the competition who was doing it too! Players were taking greenies, using steroids, B12 shots, corked bats, pine tar rags in pitcher’s pockets and who knows what else. I never used STEROIDS but I did take greenies like many of the other players. Remember greenies were banned in 2008 well after my career was over. Now enter the HLP clan who suggest that I cheated my way to a 9 year MLB career because I’ve exposed their grift. From @Teacherman1986 to @uTeeBaseball to @thewheelhousenj they have all tweeted that I was a cheater. @Teacherman1986 claims I used PEDS! @uTeeBaseball called me a Felon! @thewheelhousenj tweets daily that I cheated! @sean0murphy @NFL @RobManfred I know what happened, and yeah he is suppose to try breaking it up. By doing what he did, he risked being called for interference and he got called for it.

He got called out when SS took the throw for the force out at second base. The double play was called for contact above the waist. Popping up isn’t illegal. Sliding early isn’t either. It’s his job to try to break up the double play. If he left the baseline to go after the fielder, same result, but no consideration when the fielder comes into the baseline. Try to keep up.

You shouldn’t get these amateur baseball contact rules when you’re a professional player at the highest level trying to make the play in the baseline. This game really sucks. Thanks for turning it into a boring rules based debacle on par with the @nfl - great job @RobManfred

@Seth_3773 We have local High Schools (Illinois) that have hoodies made with numbers on the back so the players can wear them over the Jerseys. It is crazy, looks like a Rec Softball League.

I’ve been telling my guys, “hey man look like a pro. Hold yourself to a higher standard.” “No hoodies under your uniform…” Then this guy shows up.

This is beyond bush league - what an absolute disgrace! An old-school manager, Buck Showalter style, would have torn shreds off Kyle Bradish for this and probably would have made him ride the pine for a few weeks too, to make an example of him. Simply unforgivable. Atrocious!

@shegone03 I call that spot the Bermuda Triangle.

I’m seeing a lot of people blaming Rookie right fielder Carson Benge for not making a diving catch on this play and that’s BS! It’s probably because of the made up Catch Probability nonsense but this was a difficult play for everyone involved. Personally I believe that if Marcus Semien doesn’t stop he makes a running catch and the @Mets go to the 12th inning. If you watch when Semien stops running and the amount of time before the ball lands and where it lands he could have taken 2 or 3 more strides and caught it standing up. What I don’t know is if anyone was calling it. As an infielder going out to the outfield on a play like this it is your ball until the outfielder calls you off. Tough way to lose a game. #shegone
