@Yukinoguchi Tiny bit disappointed that in your "vaping weed" piece, you use the racially loaded term "marijuana" rather than the scientifically accurate term "cannabis." I expect more from the science desk. Your colleague covered this well: npr.org/sections/codes…

@verge Except you can't enable RCS without first disabling sync on Google Fi, which is what makes their entire web-based messaging/voicemail system function. A major value-add for the service. Google repeatedly shoots themselves in the foot and we all just watch and laugh.

@scottykaye There are only two kinds of motivation: intrinsic and extrinsic. Rewarding behavior you desire is extrinsic, and is the weakest form of motivation. Helping someone connect a behavior that you desire to something *they* desire engages intrinsic motivation. What do they desire?

@DanKulkov This is what's wrong with the world. Being a "creator" isn't pumping out the same boilerplate grabby headline bullshit on Twitter that everyone else is doing, too. Welcome to the rat race, you just re-created a shitty marketing job but now you have no one to blame but yourself.

@schlaf While acknowledging the privilege that I'm coming from in saying this... Working during COVID was *freaking awesome*. Why? Because I worked at a 10k-employee organization with a bit of a "grindset mentality," and COVID suddenly, dramatically, made everyone more reasonable.
