The FIA is saddened to learn of the passing of Alex Zanardi, the former Formula 1 driver, two-time CART champion whose journey from life-changing accident to Paralympics gold medallist made him one of sport’s most admired competitors and an enduring symbol of courage and determination.

Thank you, Tripps 🖤🤍 After four and a half years of incredible service to Newcastle United, we can confirm that Kieran Trippier will leave the club this summer when his contract expires. Kieran arrived in January 2022 with the club in the relegation zone and played a crucial role as he went on to lift the club’s first domestic trophy in 70 years.

Bob Mueller was one of the finest directors in the history of the FBI, transforming the bureau after 9/11 and saving countless lives. But it was his relentless commitment to the rule of law and his unwavering belief in our bedrock values that made him one of the most respected public servants of our time. Michelle and I send our condolences to Bob’s family, and everyone who knew and admired him.

Newcastle United are overhauling how they treat their former stars. For years, the club lagged behind its rivals, particularly during the Mike cA$hley era when legends like Alan Shearer, Shay Given, and Rob Lee often felt unwelcome. Now, David Hopkinson and PIF have officially sanctioned the creation of a Legend Engagement Coordinator role to ensure the club's icons are properly integrated back into the fold at St James' Park 🏟️ The club is looking for someone to "create an initial Legends & Ambassador Engagement Plan of activities and events that strengthens the connection between former legends, ambassadors, and Newcastle United." This move is designed to move beyond the "easy wins" seen early in the takeover—like returning Shearer’s name to the stadium bar—and instead build a professional, lasting network. The goal is to "deliver an annual calendar of face-to-face and digital initiatives and events that ensure our legends feel valued and included in the life of the club," bringing the Magpies in line with the high standards of hospitality and ambassadorial presence seen at Anfield and Old Trafford. This new role will see a dedicated professional working across departments like Marketing and Football Operations to "coordinate and record ambassador appearances across departments, ensuring seamless organisation and strong club representation." While the club has already started inviting former players on global tours and back into the directors' box, this official appointment signals a long-term commitment to respecting the history of the Toon. It’s a dream job for many and a vital move for a club that is finally starting to treat its greatest-ever players with the respect they deserve. Newcastle you know where I am if you want to discuss the job! 🤣 #NUFC #NUFCNews #Newcastle #EPL
