प्रख्यात बाल अधिकार कार्यकर्ता व अधिवक्ता भुवन ऋभु को वर्ल्ड लॉ कांग्रेस में वर्ल्ड ज्यूरिस्ट एसोसिएशन ने प्रतिष्ठित ‘मेडल ऑफ ऑनर’ पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया। भुवन ऋभु यह अंतरराष्ट्रीय सम्मान पाने वाले पहले भारतीय अधिवक्ता हैं। दुनिया की इस सबसे पुरानी ज्यूरिस्ट एसोसिएशन ने कानूनी हस्तक्षेपों और जमीनी लामबंदियों के जरिए बच्चों और उनके अधिकारों की सुरक्षा की दिशा में दो दशक से जारी संघर्षों और उपलब्धियों के लिए भुवन ऋभु को सम्मानित किया। इस संस्था ने विंस्टन चर्चिल, नेल्सन मंडेला, रूथ बेडर गिन्सबर्ग, स्पेन के राजा फेलिप षष्टम्, रेने कैसिन और कैरी कैनेडी जैसी ऐतिहासिक हस्तियों को सम्मानित किया है। पुरस्कार स्वीकार करते हुए भुवन ऋभु ने कहा, “न्याय की लड़ाई में बच्चों को कभी भी अकेला नहीं छोड़ना चाहिए। कानून उनकी ढाल और न्याय उनका अधिकार होना चाहिए।” डोमिनिकन रिपब्लिक के श्रम मंत्री एडी ओलिवारेज ऑर्तेगा और वर्ल्ड ज्यूरिस्ट एसोसिएशन के अध्यक्ष जेवियर क्रेमाडेस ने उन्हें 'मेडल ऑफ ऑनर' प्रदान किया। इस अवसर पर डोमिनिकन रिपब्लिक की महिला विभाग की मंत्री मायरा जिमेनेज भी उपस्थित थीं। #WorldLawCongress #IndiaForChildren

Justice T.S.
