Since Canonical keeps making anti-Linux decisions, it's getting ridiculous. They are forcing Snaps on everything (even Firefox via apt), spam terminal with Ubuntu Pro ads, and the Snap Store keeps letting malware through. This isn't the Ubuntu we loved anymore. You can also do C style CPP, now this just means using specific features of CPP like operator overloading and avoiding OOPs and abstractions. Also, learning a build tool, how a project is compiled and linked to some level is very important

Have a simple project idea to learn the language. Use every good resource you have of C and related to what you're making. Understand why you want to learn cpp.

A while ago, a first year student asked me for a playlist to learn C from. My reply was simple, I won't recommend one. Instead, I have a book that I'll recommend to learn the language from, called "Let Us C" by Yashwant Kanitkar. I even offered to send across a PDF of the same. This student started abusing me, saying that if I didn't wish to help him out, I should have just said so. The fact that I suggested a longer, denser resource was so appaling to that dude, that he had to resort to the best of swear words within his small linguistic Arsenal. If this is the default attitude of the masses, then may God help this generation of upcoming engineers man.
