Calcutta has other problems. We must not brush them away. But just on cleanliness, most parts of the city are way cleaner than even posh pockets of Delhi or Mumbai. Anyone who is not consumed by hatred notices it and comments on it.

@subirsay I traveled through the town (I grew up there in the 80s. The traffic congestion is too much (when I was a child only two houses in the town had cars, motorcycles didn't invade Indian market yet). But, I did not see garbage piled up on roadsides. @patralekha2011 @TheSanjivKapoor

@subirsay I also saw a hand drawn garbage cart was stationed. The caterer was discarding the used food plate and other garbage in it, it is wheeled away the next morning and a new cart is placed. I think this qualifies as good garbage management. Also, I traveled through the town. 2/3
