Monitoring of ALAN is done from ground and space with many pros and cons (coverage, precision, color sensitivity etc.) The review comes to the conclusion, that ground based systems are not ideal but the biggest gap exists in satellite technology for night-time earth observation
One person has been rescued, while 4 others died after a building being demolished collapsed in Fuata Nyayo, South B, Nairobi. It's still unclear how many are trapped. Rescue efforts are ongoing. It's very sad that the ongoing demolitions continue kill many people from the slums.

Joseph Ombata a five year old has lost his life in their house as the bulldozer was demolishing their house in the ongoing mukuru Kwa Ruben evictions. He was trying to rescue what he could since no one was at home.@WilliamsRuto should suspend the ongoing evictions to save lives.
