My father r£ject£d me at birth because I was a girl child. He refused to even look at me. My mum left me with my grandmother at three months old, and she single-handedly raised me. I never had the chance to meet my mother because she p@ssed away due to the p@in and b£tray@l from my dad. My grandmother raised me alone, and I never had the chance to know my mother too. Fast forward to 2021 when I wanted to get married, I tried my best to reach out to my father for his blessings, but he sent a message saying he wouldn’t be attending my wedding. And truly, he didn’t show up. I gave my all in that marriage because I wanted to change the narrative, but things still fell apart. I later went through a div0rc£ and also l0st my son. On three different occasions, I flew to Lagos to look for him. My husband will always say then that if my father had blessed us, we wouldn’t be where we are. That made me start feeling gu!lty so I kept trying to find him. I went to his church because he is an elder there. The moment he heard I was in town, they were supposed to have service that day, but he ordered them to l0ck the church. He refused to come that day or see me. Now my father has str0k£ and is asking to see me. Everyone is now expecting me to step in and take responsibility for him. They call me everyday to please show up.
