It is at this point unclear whether the announced departure of the US delegation from Islamabad is a negotiating tactic, or whether it represents the termination of negotiations and potentially a premature end to the two-week ceasefire agreement as well. The reason it is difficult to offer an assessment is because the US negotiators are so out of their depth, and so detached from reality, that it is entirely possible they expected negotiations would be concluded within a single session with Iran unconditionally accepting all of Washington's demands.

I've always cheered the relationship between Turkey and Iran. That 500 km long border has stayed mostly unchanged for 300 years. And even as they differ in ideological leanings, they've lived hundreds of years without any serious skirmish.
