@abbiet I understand. I’m still shielding but my risk is higher living back at home now. I just couldn’t live alone anymore mentally or financially. Really missing out on a lot of life though keeping away from crowds and indoor spaces.

We're very pleased to see sotrovimab added to this recommendation. Without this change it would have left many people with #lupus with no viable #COVID19 treatment unless they were unwell enough to require admission.

To whoever needs to read this: i was told I had incurable breast cancer at the age of 23. I didn’t know if I would survive the treatment let alone the disease. I also didn’t know how to get my head around a 2-3 year average survival time. Anyway, that was 14 years ago today…

When future drugs are developed, the review must be quicker l. I've had to make the difficult decision to stop shielding as the toll on my mental health was too much. It is deeply unfair that we have to accept heightened covid risks with no protection. Should have been different.

This was unsurprising but disappointing. The current NICE appraisal process is not suitable for this situation and it is a public health scandal that the window of time that #Evusheld was effective in appears to have passed for people most at risk from #COVID19.

Furious tonight. UK government line that they will "protect the most vulnerable" is an outright lie. I've just seen, via FOI, that the vaccine taskforce will "not proactively seek out new Neutralising Monoclonal Antibody therapies" - the only hope for immunocompromised people.
