@DavidZhang360 David I think the funniest part is the TikTok app trying to auto filter photoshop Mao into some handsome in 20s.

@TrollinNYC @serpentza Pretty sure he suggests the true way of saving the environment is to crush China right here and right now.

@serpentza So we should pollute the environment more? Is that what you're suggesting?

@jiyunaJP He still has EWC and Capcom Cup to play right? His performance last night definitely reminds of me of prime Daigo. It would be a shame if he quit now. If he plays like this in future majors he is a top 8 contender for sure.

Daigo on stream talking about Kemonomichi. He says he seriously planned on retiring if he lost to Mena. The reason being that since SF6 release he has not felt “strong” or the motivation to improve like in his youth in the arcade days. But after 3 months of training, in the final week before the match he thought, “Wait a minute. Am I strong again? This is what it felt like back in the day.” He was incredibly stressed the day before the match and couldn’t eat, and said just walking outside felt like he was already in the fight. He thought he wouldn’t be able to sleep due to stress, but surprisingly fell asleep easily - however when he woke up he had tears in his eyes. He doesn’t know why, but he thinks it’s because he had a dream where he quit Fighting Games. After he lost to Mena, he still thought it was time to retire. But in the taxi ride back to Tokyo, Eita kept bothering him and begging him not to. Daigo agreed just to shut him up, but then he thought back on that feeling of being strong in the last week and thought if he could keep that same motivation and approach he had for Kemonomichi, he could become strong again. For now he has decided to continue competing, but is taking a short rest after the set.

US influencer after China tour: ‘E-wallets! Bullet trains! Food carts on demand! This is the future!’ Reality check: • PayPal dropped in 1998 — digital payments 25+ years ago. • Grubhub was delivering food apps in 2004. • Japan ran bullet trains since 1964, France TGV since 1981. China scaled QR-code everything and HSR massively by leapfrogging old systems. Impressive rollout. But calling it revolutionary ‘new tech’ ignores why the West didn’t go all-in earlier: mature credit cards with rewards, legacy banking that already worked, car-centric infrastructure, privacy regs, and fragmented markets. No need to burn the old when it functioned fine. Hype is easy. Historical context is better.

@KusanagiFGC True. There are so many rounds that Ryu/Sagat would have lived but Akuma is 100% dead. Props for Mena’s well calculated gameplan though when he wants to make sure Akuma went down with least interactions as possible.

I honestly think Daigo lost because he was using Akuma If he was using Ryu, Sagat or Guile, a different story might have been written I totally get the challenge part, but even he, must be reaching a limit with putting up with these balance decisions that make no sense lol

@Loritwt Akuma may not be the strongest character and he just got nerfed but there is no way a character with divekick, fireball, demon flip, solid mediums, command grabs, good combo potential and damage, etc, to be low tier for whatever reason.

@HeLiuLeo More like the east is already risen for decades. Japan and Korea already made best stuff since the 90s. China is trying to catch up but they are still two decades behind and I don’t know why. Korea also did’t open up until 80s but they turned into global phenomenon in 15 years.

The east is rising, but not China. It’s Korea, Japan and Taiwan. Also interesting that Singapore is somewhat missing from this round of AI growth.

@DeepADiver2 @bxieus Back in 70-80s there is no way anyone can leave without CCP’s direct approval. Yeah we may argue that her parents had a change in heart and become loyal to the US but still the fact that a descendent of EX-CCP researchers becoming liberal journalist is quite alarming.

@bxieus The USA is an immigrant nation. You seem to forget you are also an immigrant. There is nothing wrong with that. Her parents can to the US for college. The opened a restaurant because that was their only way to make money and survive.

So exactly who the hell is Weijia Jiang? You can Google her career but it won’t give you details about her parents. She was born from Xiamen, which is a city in Fujian Province. Fujian? Yes, that’s where most illegal Chinese immigrants came from. Her parents owned a Chinese restaurant. There is no visa for opening a Chinese restaurant in the U.S.. So guess what? Did her parents apply for asylum? Maybe. If it were a real political asylum then she would express some sort of anti-CCP feelings somehow, but did anyone ever hear an anti-CCP word from her mouth? During 1980s and 1990s, over a million people from Fujian came to America by boats, then obtained legal status by applying for fake asylum. Today they own most Chinatowns and support CCP unconditionally. Have they started getting into American politics? I bet they did, successfully.

@ARDIZsq People educated in a free society telling them to love vs people were taught to hate west civilisation. For the context I see Taiwanese players complains about the nerf as well but they would never review bomb or curse about the developers because of it.

@GaoUeler @Alade_Archaman @sha72336419 @caswerlebel05 @MurrayShinaide Nobody is white glazing here. In fact I always find out Chinese to be more advanced since we can fit a whole long sentence into 5 characters. So I am surprised that you typed hundreds of texts here and none of these make sense. Even an ancient language can’t save your illiteracy
