@jimsigurd @LIVGolfNation You're kidding, right? He was just at the White House as a guest of DJT. At a state dinner no less.

@TGreenhutOD Braves fan in TN here. We saw it when the Titans came, most locals were Cowboys or Steelers fans but adopted the Titans as their team and still root for the other. I am a Braves fan but if Nashville gets a team I will buy season tickets.
English

If an expansion team lands in Charlotte, Raleigh, or Nashville, which most likely will happen, they will be outnumbered by Braves 50:1, if not more. People aren't going to just switch allegiances that span generations.
Best to just stay away from Braves Country if you ask me!

@coach_mel_redd @ChrisBarts1 You are missing 2 major points 1, she gave up a oncenin her lifetime event for a game that she will probably have forgotten the score in 20 years. 2, the leer pressure "Redd is skipping prom so why can't you?"
English

@ChrisBarts1 So I should have forced her go to prom instead of her tournament?
I love how some of you skipped over the part where this was a non issue for her/us.
Yall are too much 😂
English

@stengel You can't really be that stupid, can you? So every press briefing at the white house is a 1A violation? lol
English

@RadioFreeTom Pretty sure President Vance is gonna be just fine with it.

When this administration is gone, it’s gonna be like cleaning up after a frat party

@hardymaxxing @JustinBerkobien Correction, it existed and in fact is in the Bible. But at no point in the history of our faith until the last 50 years was there any attempt to justify homosexual behavior.
English

@abctn @JustinBerkobien The Bible mentions lustful behavior. It says nothing about homosexuality because it didn't exist back then the way it does now.
English

@APompliano Unless your name is Mike Vrabel, but for the rest of us, I agree.
English

@LeviBakerink Many people have given you answers and you just say "well you just don't understand." You are onky looking to reinforce your own opinions; please show me where in the bible people are baptized without their consent? Such as infants, any biblical examples?
English

@DennisFilo @churchtalkative Correct, he will guide you. With his scripture.
If you think God is telling you to do something that is counter to scripture, that's not God, that's a demon.
English

@churchtalkative All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God that's why we need grace, I understand this post wants to encourage righteousness, but such matters are not as easy as definitions.
Dedicate your relationship to God, he will guide You

@pavelmoatiq @DrDavidKass we had 2 double digit drops in the past 12 months, they didn't deploy the cash en masse.

Who is developing talent vs acquiring it in Tennessee high school football?
Built this using AI + roster/X data on D1 recruits (2026–2029) across the top programs.
It’s not perfect, but directionally it tells a pretty clear story.
A few things that stood out:
@theBAFootball is the clear leader in acquisition
(a lot coming from outside Nashville, typically older and already recruited players).
@FootballBga shows up as a true development program despite what people often assume
@CPAFootball and @MBAFootball are both really impressive here comparable talent without relying on transfers proof you can still do it the old-fashioned way
@BaylorSchoolFB and @McCallieFB have a Canada pipeline, those numbers are likely underrepresented
Important context:
This only includes D1-level recruits
It does not include all transfers
There’s no right or wrong way to build a program — this is just the data
The goal is to give parents and athletes more visibility into what they’re walking into.

@BamaBonds The wealthiest person in the late 80s was Sam Walton. His children are now the wealthiest people in the world so not sure your point.
English

@TheyCallHim_LA You do realize that Tennessee was a democrat controlled state for a long time and had a democrat governor as recently as 2010... right? You think Memphis downfall started in 2011??
English

@SlippedGoat @martensmatt1 It is the gospel. People with TDS are just mad cause they don't like the guy.
English

@martensmatt1 I’m genuinely confused… how is this not the gospel?

@KurtSupeCPA Dad was making equivalent of $141k today. Also the average home was $104k in 1987 with an average mortgage rate of 10% so dad should have been paying $912 before taxes and insurance, equivalent to $2680 today.
English

"Stop renting. Build some equity like I did."
Dad bought in 1987. $710 a month. $48,000 salary.
That was 18% of his gross income.
His son makes $91,000.
Same house today: $610,000.
Payment at today's rates: $3,200 a month.
That's 42% of his gross income.
Same hustle. Completely different math.
His son isn't lazy. The down payment alone requires roughly ten years of saving at his income.
Dad's advice was perfect.
For 1987.
If you want to help your kids into a home without touching your retirement there are ways to do it.
Annual gift exclusion. Intra-family loans at IRS minimum rates. Direct payment toward principal.
Most parents give too much too fast or nothing at all.
Nobody showed them the middle.
English

@BroncosAndElk @KurtSupeCPA Let me guess, you don't have a better answer...
English

@abctn @KurtSupeCPA Let me guess. You sell annuities….

She'd had the same advisor for 18 years.
Good guy. Called on her birthday. Sent Christmas cards.
Never once mentioned Roth conversions. Never once discussed her RMD exposure. Never once coordinated with her CPA.
She retired with $1.6M in a traditional IRA.
At 73, RMDs kicked in.
$60K/year she was forced to take — whether she needed it or not.
Combined with Social Security and other income: 22% bracket.
Her Medicare premiums jumped.
In 18 years, her advisor and her CPA had never spoken.
Two professionals managing the same money.
Never in the same room.
She's paying $14,000/year more in taxes than she needed to.
For the rest of her retirement.
Because investment management and tax planning never talked to each other.
Managing your investments is not the same as managing your retirement.
Hypothetical example. Not personalized financial or tax advice.

@jaysonyork @alphabaker7 Did the culture of the 1800s and early 1900s not dictate the style of songs you want to return to?
English

Unpopular pastoral opinion #5
Most of the music in the church today only serves emotionalism or a dopamine hit, and does nothing to feed your soul
Get rid of the rock bands
Get rid of the performances
Get rid of singing at people
Sing the songs of faith together as saints
