The Vice President is not the problem. She is literally not doing anything. Nada. For someone doing nothing and still feared by her adversaries, that's like chasing one's own ghost - a ghost her adversaries created themselves. With no official job description and role in the Executive, to effectively sideline her is very easy - just do not appropriate money for the OVP more than a limited PS and some MOOE. That's the real power of the purse. The question is do our legislators know the real extent of their own power, or they're so comfortable and used to just being given the spoils by the Executive since 1987 that they are so willing to violate their own oath to the Republic for 30 pieces of silver? If the Vice President violated all those laws as alleged by several testimonies, witnesses and documents, then the next logical step is to indict her. But our legislators have chosen a more colorful path - the one with more drama, more noise, more media exposure believing, albeit erroneously, that this charade will bring down the VP and her #Halalan2028 ambition. This belief is garbage. First and foremost, if and when the VP is impeached, and assuming that the Senate convicts, will the conviction include the penalty of disqualification to hold public office, whether temporary or perpetual? That's an exclusive discretion of the Senator-Judges which nobody will ever know beforehand - something I don't think the present Impeachment Court will impose ... sa "fortwith" palang nga di na sila magkasundo DQ pa. And if perpetual/temporary DQ will not be imposed and it's just removal from office, then all the public money spent & people's time wasted on this charade will be for naught, politically (i.e., electorally). Nag-utuan lang kayo sa wala. Nag-iisip ba talaga ang mga manggagatas natin o gigil nalang ang pinaiiral? Puro palabas lang ba ito? Teka, teka ... pera ng taumbayan ang nilulustay niyo tapos kayo lang ang makikinabang.
