Govt last night raised petroleum levy (tax) on petrol by Rs 55 per litre. These are the taxes our govt is charging on every litre of petrol: Custom Duty: Rs 24.12 Climate Levy: Rs 2.50 Petroleum Levy: Rs 160.61 Total govt taxes: 187.23 Govt taxes are 40.8% of the petrol price of Rs 458.41.
