President Kagame has arrived in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania for a one-day working visit. President Kagame and his host President @SuluhuSamia of the United Republic of Tanzania are now having tête-a-tête meeting which will be followed by a joint press conference.

This evening at Parc des Princes in Paris, President Kagame attended the UEFA Champions League semi-final, where defending champions and Visit Rwanda global partner Paris Saint-Germain delivered a 5–4 victory over Bayern Munich.

Today, we remember and reflect on the horrific 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. We honour the victims, survivors, and everyone whose lives were changed forever by the atrocities and commit to building a better world where such horrors are never forgotten or repeated.

On this 32nd anniversary of the Genocide against the Tutsi in #Rwanda commemorated at the African Union (AU) Headquarters today, the Chairperson of the AU Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, said, “We remember over one million lives lost to hatred, indifference, & inaction. #Kwibuka is not only a moment of mourning, but also a call to truth, responsibility, & vigilance.” He further added, “Africa affirms: never again will organised hatred be allowed to become a political project. We must confront rising threats;hate speech, division, & polarisation, with unity, courage, & action.” Rwanda’s remarkable journey of resilience and renewal reminds us that history is not fate; it is shaped by the will of people, he added. #Kwibuka32 is a time to honor the memory of the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, and to recognize the courage of survivors. It is also a reminder of our shared duty to learn from history, reject hate, and protect the values that hold our communities together.
