the irony of this conversation is the people trying to smugly teach americans (yall know EXACTLY what that means) a lesson about being self-centered are using their own language to prescribe meaning to words in a different language. América ≠ America. most of the world learns the 7 continent system. it’s completely ok to learn a different system and therefore have a different worldview. prescribing your view onto others when your gripe is someone else prescribing their worldview onto you is just…extremely contradictory

I feel like people dont really grasp that U.S. cities like New York, LA, and Chicago etc.. would be NOTHING without the Latino diaspora. They absolutely deserve their flowers because they're still standing against all odds despite being in the heart of the empire
