I may have fumbled one of the biggest generational wealth opportunities of my life. Four years ago, while I was still in college, I found @SimonHoiberg’s YouTube channel (feedhive) and started building a cheaper, cleaner social media scheduling tool. (x.com/swarajb/status…) I built almost the entire product and made it production-ready. Then Twitter changed its API pricing. The space suddenly looked painful, internships and jobs took over, and I abandoned the project. Last year, I saw @jackfriks enter the same space and start gaining traction. That gave me hope again. So I came back, rebuilt large parts of the product, added more features, and tried to turn it into a proper service. Then I stopped again. That has always been my biggest flaw as a builder. I ship almost everything I make. I make it production-ready. But when it is time to market, I hide. I post once or twice on Reddit, see no immediate traction, assume the product will not work, and move on to another idea. The code gets finished. The product never gets a real chance. Seeing this space grow again made me realize how many times I have repeated the same mistake. So last weekend, I came back to the project for the third time. I moved everything to Effect, rebuilt the architecture, cleaned up years of code, and prepared it to be properly open-sourced. I used close to one billion AI tokens getting it into a state I am finally proud to ship. But shipping is not the challenge anymore. Sticking with it is. This time, I do not want to disappear after two Reddit posts. I am going to market it, talk to users, post consistently, automate what I can, and give the product the chance I should have given it four years ago. Let’s see whether I finally learned my lesson.
