@warnerblaster The solar one I got from Amazon is cheap and easy, except that I need to clean it and my birdbath like every 6 weeks. Not sure if that can be avoided or not.

Update from my corner of Texas (a thread, for anyone who cares): we're hanging in there. Cooking on the fire and melting snow to keep the toilets flushing. The pipes have been frozen since early Monday morning, but they dripped pretty steadily for the first 36 hours ... (/1)
