Tonight at 6pm, there will be a public hearing regarding the districts proposed Official Community Plan that when adopted, grants sweeping policy changes for land use and policy. The UNDRIP aligned plan as is, gives the T’Sou-Ke Nation great influence over many policies. The Nation, currently has at least one claim over part of the community’s popular Broom Hill area. In 2013, the Nation was given 2-60 hectares of that area as part of a pre-treaty agreement.
