We continue to see a surge in scammers targeting elderly victims. Since Monday, nine people have been defrauded of $57,000 combined. The scams are happening all over the city. Please speak with your loved ones, and if you or someone you know has been victimized, call police.

Be wary of scammers asking for bail money. An 87-year-old was tricked this week into sending $3,500 by courier to someone posing as her grandson and claiming to be in jail. We managed to intercept the package before it arrived, but many others haven't been so lucky.

#OrangeShirtDay was a really hard day for everyone. We showed our love and support to the residential school survivors & to the ones we have lost. We went to at all of the events in Vancouver. Started off at the walk from the Friendship Centre to Grandview Park.
