@O_Hitsuji_san You may get better results if you update to the new version (1.1.1) which improves the meshing performance.

Hello,@aboundlabs I'm enjoying the forge scan! Recently, I often find "THROTTLING" in scanning. What does this mean? Reduce performance?

@HNohito @iwamah1 Version 1.1.1 is now on the App Store with this fix.

@HNohito @iwamah1 FYI the raytrace rendering preview feature is improved in the next update. The blind spot issue you’re seeing is fixed. It should be available within 48 hrs.

@aboundlabs However, the throttling appears again in hot outdoor environments. The high temperature may be limiting the performance of the iPhone. By the way, today's temperature is about 25 degrees Celsius in Japan, but summer is over 40 degrees Celsius🥵

@O_Hitsuji_san When throttled, Forge reduces the rate that it updates the scan. A workaround today is to turn on Settings / Preview features / Raytrace renderer, which relies on the GPU to render the underlying voxels instead.

@O_Hitsuji_san That means the CPU is under load. Unlike other apps, Forge does real-time meshing which allows it show different viewpoints while scanning. We’re still tuning it to reduce CPU overhead.

@xashadowin With the current release, the only difference is Pro mode uses 2.25x higher texture resolution than Standard, so the imagery will be sharper. If you want to try it out, just begin the free trial - you can cancel any time within 7 days and not have to pay.

@aboundlabs Hey @aboundlabs I finally could get a hand on the new iPad pro and tested your app. Amazingly fast and super intuitive. Do you have an example of the same scan processed through normal (free) version and the paid one? would love to be able to see the difference in quality.
