This is predominantly because 1) It's free 2) We have too many institutions and too many branch campuses 3) Colleges have to provide remedial classes b/c our K-12 system.

If you close regional/branch campuses, you effectively cut off higher education and workforce training for rural, Indigenous, and Hispanic communities who can't just relocate to ABQ or Las Cruces.
