get game theory mogged once again, game theory advocates. everybody lives, and now you're in copeaganda about how you're not mean and wrong

Tim Urban@waitbutwhy
Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?
English

If you're a red button pusher you're not worthy of moral consideration.
Tpohnka🗽🇺🇸@Tpohnka
@TheOmniLiberal Destiny have you seen the blue/red button dilemma? What’s your take
English

@Nathaniel144978 @MrMouton kind people will not press red.
If red wins, all the kind people in the world will die, leaving behind a world full of hopeless oppostunists full of distrust for what is left of humanity.
Better dead, than living in such a world
English

@TheFakePedroSan @RadicalFalk You're making too many assumptions and losing track of the discussion.
English

Europe’s post-WWII ‘social democracy’ exploded welfare states, nationalizations, high taxes & regulations — critics call it a slide into socialism. Lenin was clear: Socialism is the first stage of communism. It builds state power & control; the goal is full communism once the ‘material base’ is secured and the state ‘withers away.’ History shows the pattern.
Hallucination my ass!
English

@Nathaniel144978 @MrMouton your attitude show how short sighted you are, so...
English

Compassionate people don’t want stupid people to die. And I don’t want compassionate people to die.
vittorio@IterIntellectus
why would anyone even press blue?!?
English

@TheFakePedroSan @RadicalFalk focus, for your own good, you are allucinating again.
Who said anything about communism?
Here, things are far from perfect, but trust me, i would never live in America, not even for big money.
English

@abyss_bt @RadicalFalk That’s what you tell yourselves, that communism is better than capitalism because of food? We do ingest some disgustingly processed foods, but at least we won’t have bread lines.
English

@TheFakePedroSan @RadicalFalk "to keep socialism/communism strong."
communistim wasn't already here? :)
all the poisons you lot absorb, makes you allucinate a lot :)
English

@abyss_bt @RadicalFalk Lovely gif, but I’m reasonably certain that Europe will fall into communism within another generation.
English

@FrannyRocket @HunterEKozak in the risk of killing someone, kind people will not press red. kind people risk everything, hoping to make the difference, despite fear.
English

@HunterEKozak Everyone lives if everyone presses red, because nothing happens if you pick red in either scenario.
If someone presses blue, I'm assuming they have a death wish.
English

@McHeartattack3 @HunterEKozak if red wins, humanity is doomed anyway ;)
English

@HunterEKozak “I am going to die because other people are retards”
Yeah buddy, I hate to tell you this, but you are one of the retards and me pressing the red button and getting rid of you is cosmic justice
English

@SyntheticBeef @HunterEKozak But you would kill every kind and trusting person too.
English

@HunterEKozak I'm ok with saying goodbye to half of all dumb people. Would improve the world.

Those newfangled ab riser machines look deceptively easy… until you actually hop on. This woman cranks it to the highest setting, struggles with a couple shaky reps, then turns to her husband with that classic “if you think it’s so easy” look and says, “Here, you try it.”
He hops on, full confidence… and immediately eats humble pie. After a few wobbly attempts, they both crack up and drop the difficulty by about half.
Moral of the story? Don’t knock it till you try it. Core strength is no joke, and these machines will humble even the cockiest gym-goer. Respect to anyone who sticks with it on max settings!
Who else has been surprised by a machine that looked “easier done than said”?

"You can't directly translate 'yamero'. Literally NO ONE says 'stop' in English in REAL LIFE. It just sounds unnatural. You have to consider the cultural nuances of localization and say 'END FASCISM'."
How long until this excuse floods in again? Giving it 2 more hours if not yet
Rawrell 🌘@_rawrell
This has to be one of the worst "localizations" I've seen in a long time. In what world does it make sense to translate "Yamero" as "END FASCISM"? It's a shame, I was looking forward to Yunyun Syndrome but these parasites vandalized it beyond recognition.
English

@RadicalFalk In Europe they encourage minors drinking so that they maintain their subject mentality in order to keep socialism/communism strong.
English

@Kekius_Sage better die hoping for a better world, than live in a world made only of opportunists.
English

this is what it really is
red: you don’t trust people, so you guarantee a worse world
blue: you trust people, with zero control if they betray you
if blue wins, you survived a gamble
if red wins, you proved why trust never stood a chance
either way: the outcome says more about us than the game itself
