There is an ongoing search and rescue operation for a missing American service member whose plane was shot down over Iran. Their safety is unknown. They could be your neighbor, a friend, a family member. And people are betting on whether or not they'll be saved. This is DISGUSTING. Quick reminder too that @DonaldJTrumpJr is an investor in this dystopian death market and may have access to intelligence that isn't public yet.

@UgandanStrap @theliamnissan Kalshi is federally regulated. Markets on death are illegal (for good reason) in the US. Polymarket isn't federally regulated and puts up whatever they want. The biggest problems are with the unregulated markets, not the regulated ones.

@SwannMarcus89 And it's not necessarily a character flaw to have a political belief that's unpopular. But that doesn't mean it's not unpopular! It still very much is.

@SwannMarcus89 One of the weirdest delusions a lot of people have in politics is that when they have a fringe belief they often manage to think that everyone else secretly has that belief too.

The massive Democratic majority in 2008 existed because Obama did shit like win a majority of Tennessee’s House seats Tennesseans thought Obama’s policies were too left-wing so they never voted Democratic again and socialists think this means he should have been more left-wing

This is why we leftists hate Democrats.

@Zach2049 @CrazySaw98 @smalls2672 Also, gas prices shot up over a dollar after Russia started a war in 2022. We don't have direct control over what Putin does. Gas prices shot up over a dollar after Trump started a war now. We do have direct control over that.

@51stWardCapt @bluevirginia Yeah, it would help a little bit to have a map that looks a little nicer and doesn't look as "gerrymandered" to the average voter, but overall, it doesn't really matter all that time how strong the gerrymander is to people's votes. Probably a bit, but not much.

@bluevirginia If this passes, the die-on-this-hill insistence on a hard gerrymander will be proven out —nobody would've looked at the issue and said, "Well, this is only a 9-2/8-3 split when it could have been 10-1...so yeah, I'll vote in favor" So much credit/blame will go to the insistent

Really, the only hope for the NO campaign is very low turnout among the Democratic base and very high turnout among the MAGA base. So far at least - with 22 days to go - we're not seeing that. #comment-6857167018" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">bluevirginia.us/2026/03/saying… h/t @samshirazim @ChazNuttycombe

@SunBeltPolitics @samshirazim I expect the persuasion to be similar to VA-AG or a bit redder and obviously with a redder electorate than 2025, so around Yes +4-5 in my book right now. Wide range of outcomes though. I also think EDay turnout could easily break more D than usual because R's already voted.

@samshirazim Honestly think it's sitting somewhere in the mid single-digits, there could be a slew of anything with a ton of factors. Turnout is fairly high and keeps up in R areas, but satellites opening probably helps Dems. No probably has better persuasion, but are the two enough?

@DorotheaMarj @hencexox @Taniel If it helps, a lot of mail ballots got counted in that race and shrunk the margin by quite a bit compared to likely when you last heard about the race. Still a GOP overperformance, but nothing crazy, and special overperformances are always subject to a lot of noise.

@hencexox @Taniel The GOP overperformance in the special election makes me nervous. VA supreme court is mostly nonpartisan but theyve been mostly appointed by R legislatures. We need to show them a strong mandate so they would think twice if they’re even considering overturning the referendum.

Bluer areas of Virginia are picking-up voting: As of Monday, votes cast in the 5-GOP held districts were 60% of all votes cast so far (vs 40% in 6 Dem-held districts). As of today, gap shrunk to 55% to 45%. Most of votes cast since Monday came in the Dem-held districts.

Sassafrass84@Sassafrass_84

I want to take a moment to say this real quick. I want to thank all my followers. Small, medium, and large for standing up for me yesterday when I was being attacked left and right. I was accused of being a bot and using automation. (Even though I do spaces, and I dont use automated responses. You can tell by how many errors I have at times. Plus, I am not tech savvy, so I'm not sure how to do it.) I was accused of using a team to run my account. (Nope, sweet cheeks, just me) I was accused of taking money and working for foreign governments. (Nope, stay at home mom. America First) I was accused of engagement groups. Nope, again, just me. I repost who I want when I want. (This also counts as your posts, as does replies) My looks were attacked. Don't care. Somebody is trying to dox me again. It's not cool. People posting impersonations of me and acting like that is ME. It's not. Making fun of personal stories I have shared. Oh, well. So many horrible things said. Yet, to my surprise, my followers stood beside me. I'm used to tackling the BS on my own. So, for every single person that I didn't get to thank or see, THANK YOU. I never expected that, and I truly appreciate you all. You guys are what makes X enjoyable. The rest well... they can suck democrat donkey balls. Thanks for listening to My Sass talk. Toodles. 👋

@cattymann3261 @GasBuddyGuy Gas prices went up in 2022 because Russia started a war. Gas prices are going up in 2026 because Trump started a war. So, yes, a lot of people are more mad when their own government caused their prices to rise rather than an international one they have no control over.

@cabsav456 The point is that you’re using an admin stay as “evidence” that this judge keeps getting struck down. It’s not. It’s literally just an admin stay. If you want to make some point with other cases he’s had, go for it, but don’t bring this one into the mix.

Yes, I’m aware that it's an administrative stay. But the key fact remains that Judge Murphy has now tried three times to block or severely restrict this third-country deportation policy (first with his April 2025 preliminary injunction - emergency stay granted by SCOTUS, then remedial orders he tried to use to enforce his injunction - SCOTUS clarified/expanded their emergency stay, and now his February 2026 merits ruling vacating the policy entirely - administrative stay by the 1st Circuit). The point is that each time, higher courts have stepped in to halt his orders and let the policy continue operating, at least temporarily. They haven't issued a final merits ruling yet, but the repeated interventions show that multiple judges - including a majority of SCOTUS twice - have found the government's arguments strong enough on likelihood of success, irreparable harm, etc., to keep overriding Murphy's blocks for now. At this point, it looks like the district judge is out of step with higher courts on this issue, and persisting with these injunctions just invites more emergency relief that keeps the policy in place. He should probably stand down until the full appeal (or SCOTUS merits review) plays out. He’s not doing that.

Judge Murphy (Biden appointee) has now been halted or stayed by higher courts three times on this exact third-country deportation issue, including twice by SCOTUS last year. His latest order was just stayed again by the First Circuit (a three-judge panel of judges appointed by Biden, Biden, Obama). This is judicial activism
Kyle Cheney@kyledcheney

JUST IN: The 1st Circuit has granted an administrative stay of Judge Murphy's 3rd country deportation ruling, preventing his block on the Trump administration's policy from taking effect tomorrow.
