@HenryStaelens @FT I have seen, in the last few days, plenty of young girls who feel like they have to validate their love for the sport. The pretentious FT readership might have loved the "nuance" of the article, but the damage is real.

Step One: The @FT have subtly changed the title, to deal with the overarching inaccuracy.
They've changed from "How romance readers RESCUED British ice hockey" to "How romance readers FOUND British ice hockey".
Apology and retraction of the entire piece next.
