@Jhunjhunuwala_ @openletteryt People have no clue about how countries deal with oil prices. Not all are free market like US. India, Vietnam, Malaysia all have policy to handle low and high prices. Govt absorbs during shocks and holds the prices during lows. Has nothing to do with elections

Model estimates only 24% votes in third place.

Back in 2021, Inigo Irudayaraj was debutant in #TrichyEast, he was unsure of his political future. Main opponent was Vellamandi Natarajan (ADMK), Anti incumbency wave helped Inigo to register thumping win. Now, in 2026, Inigo sounds more confident than what he was, probably getting seasoned with internal politics. But this time, the opponent is not Vellamandi Natarajan but two, #TVK Vijay and AIADMK's Rajasekar both are tough candidates. If Inigo prevails, he will set off a new journey. Video: @pttv_tweets

BJP are punching above their weight and may finally see double digit seats. UDF who thought it would be cake walk two weeks ago feeling pressure. At present it looks like they won't cross the line. UDF - 60-68 LDF - 54-60 BJP - 8-14

Today's surprise was about election but not TVK or TN. It is about Keralam. Left disappearing from scene is confirmed but looks like they're beneficiary of three corner fight and might still go upto 60 seats. Ladies in Keralam are going to be the key.

@cbkwgl Wonder who inspired the prostelyzing. I've strong theory that structurally it was based on Buddhists. Unlike east who adopted it, west took the concept and used for their expansion

It's their greed for more converts(not for christianity but for their own school) was always the problem. Had it not been for the Ghassanid-Eastern Roman clashes, there wouldn't have been Islam. Had it not been for the Ghassanid evangelism, Lakhm would still would have survived. Had it not been for the Eastern Roman attempts to convert Khusrau, he never would have become that paranoid. Had it not been for Catholic Church's demands for conversion into Catholic Church and refusing aid till it's done, Eastern Roman Empire would have survived. The Portuguese attempts to forcibly convert the Syriacs is legendary. Crusades which destroyed the interreligious cohesion in Middle East were equally momentous. Why do you suppose today's tamasha is any different? And in every case, the loser is the local christian, and not the foreigner who wanted to impose his version of christianity. x.com/AramaicWire/st…

Too much focus on this. Christian votes including unofficial is close to 28% Main is first time voters, kadai veedhi merchants plus families, palakarai ara It was ADMK stronghold since separation in 2008. Vijay ahead by thin margin

#TVK may think #Trichy East is an easy win for C. Joseph Vijay, but it won't be simple. DMK's Inigo Irudhayaraj(Christian goodwill movement) has built strong local support over 10+ years in this Christian-majority area. He is known to be very accessible people say he even calls back missed calls & has helped families, including with funeral support. Vijay's entry makes the contest tougher.

Anyone with iota or geopolitical knowledge shouldn't be surprised. From 1962, US would never thrown their support behind India and would never will.
Abhinandan Mishra@mishra_abhi

sundayguardianlive.com/world/the-us-s… Senior American officials and diplomats in recent interactions have conveyed that the United States will not automatically align with India in the event of a crisis involving Pakistan, underlining that Washington’s decisions will be guided strictly by its own national interests, according to Indian officials familiar with the discussions. The message, conveyed across multiple engagements in recent weeks, indicates that while India is seen as a key strategic partner, particularly in the Indo-Pacific, expectations of unconditional backing or a blank cheque in a conflict scenario with Pakistan are misplaced.

The propaganda without proper making without any comic relief falls too flat. For example, movie like bengal files never worked in Hindi too. Tamil writers and directors torturing audience with oppression stories is primary reason for success of Dhurandhar in TN

Propaganda is not wrong. Tamil movies had it from 60s and were pioneers. Last decade tamil film makers have no clue to make it engaging. Viduthalai had one of the sadistic visualization of women being outraged of modesty. It was almost like rape porn or 80s again
Tamil Labs 2.0@labstamil

Dear Dstock Oopie sir, Vetri is free to make his political films, but the issue is with him and his fans who pretend as if they are not "propaganda". If Dhar makes such holier-than-thou, pretentious puluthi speeches about making politically neutral (normal) films, then you can criticize him too. And Dhurandhar may sound as if its a silly Bollywood script, but it has trigerred a movement of uncovering unbelievably cowardly responses from the UPA era government. Not Dhar's fault that the DMK coalitioned UPA government at the center was so incompetent and didn't uphold our national interests. Home minister Chidambaram literally said on record that 26/11 was an homegrown attack, and that we shouldn't be pointing fingers at Pak all the time! Now, if a movie was made showing 26/11 as a homegrown Indian terror attack, that would be propaganda. Just because you did not like it doesn't make it one. For example, is there any evidence at all that Naxalites tried to defuse the bomb that derailed a train at Ariyalur in 1987, killing 25 and severely injuring 100+ people, as was "whitewashed" by Viduthalai 2? This is propaganda, because facts were twisted to sympathize audience with who the director wants you to sympathize with. When Asuran showed scenes inspired by Kilvenmani massacre, did it show who was CM back then? Did it show who the likes of EVR sided with?In Vada Chennai, it shows how villain politician Radha Ravi is clearly from ADMK. Are we to believe that Vetri's grandfather and uncle being past DMK MLAs had no role to play in such a biased portrayal? This is Dravidawood with every movie being controlled by you-know-who, with every director who are ideologues first and filmmakers next, but there is no such thing as Sanghiwood. What happens is the occasional release of Kashmir Files or Kerala Story which the FoE filled SwargaDravidanaadu TN is kind enough to softban. So yes, before you call others as hypocrites, take a good look at yourself in the mirror.
