Liverpool Uni ACE WiP Seminar Series

I’ll be presenting a paper to the University of Liverpool WiP seminar series this coming Wednesday! The paper challenges Athenocentric views of history and considers how 4th century Athenian rhetoric underscores north-south divides in the Aegean world. Message me for the link!

Today we will be joined by Carl-Loris Raschel from the Musée du Louvre. Carl-Loris will be presenting “Professional associations and trade groups in Roman Egypt”, @ 3pm in the Rendall Building (SR8).

Yesterday, @eleni_ntanou gave a fascinating talk on environmentalism in Augustan poetry, exploring how poetry reveals humanity’s relationship with the environment and its impact on the planet. The next seminar will be on 12/10, with Carl Loris Raschel.

We were delighted to be joined by Marina Sartori last week, who gave an excellent paper on the use of blue in Egyptian New Kingdom Funerary Manuscripts. Tomorrow, we will be joined by Eleni Ntanou, who will be presenting 'Environmentalism and Augustan Poetry".

It was wonderful to have @JoelSams4 present at last week’s WiP Seminar on the use of AI-assisted technology in the deciphering of papyrus fragments. Tomorrow we will be joined by Marina Sartori, who will be talking to us about the use of blue in New Kingdom funerary manuscripts.
