There is something about mortars, I've always loved them. Pretty much any indirect fire, just the team work and science of it has always endeared me to mortar and artillery.

When I was 14 I took a train from Kentucky to New Mexico to go to Philmont Scout Ranch. It was a great experience. I can say that yes as an adult there's better use of my time, but it is an experience worth doing once. It can be beautiful and fun.

Held off a couple of days before posting. On Saturday, I was in a severe single car accident. My Wife's Yukon vs. Trees. The trees won. I was the only occupant of the vehicle. Thank you to the first responders who got me out and to my wife and all her strength in this time.
