Today I am with our rope rescue teams carrying out an exercise in Avonmouth

This morning I attended a house fire in Portishead. Crews from Portishead, Clevedon and Avonmouth arrived very quickly and worked brilliantly to extinguish the fire quickly.

Today I'm attending a meeting in London, this was my transport of choice from Paddington to Westminster

The next 2 days are dedicated to the Asian Fire Service Association winter conference in Bristol. A great opportunity to discuss all areas to make the fire sector even more inclusive for all.

After a long slow journey, I have arrived in London for a days training for our Local Pension Board.

Today, we say goodbye to our brilliant Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Jane Philpott, who is retiring after almost 30 years in firefighting. Jane joined us in Jersey 18 months ago, after an established career at @LondonFire where she reached the position of Assistant Commissioner.

Six years ago today. A huge grass fire at Woolwich Common. My 'mate' @Dany_Cotton was there too 🤣🥰. It was an extremely hot day 🥵

7 years ago today. A night I will never forget, never a day goes by when I don’t think about the 72 lost lives, my colleagues and the loved ones of those lost. This horrendous event changed so many of our lives. My thoughts with everyone impacted today. #grenfell #neverforgotten
