Prajnaparamita,Baiju Monastery.
白居寺般若佛母
Her primary symbol is thePrajñāpāramitā Sūtra. The golden armor-like object held open in her hands is a special symbolic representation of this sutra, known as the "Scripture Armor" or "Thousand-Buddha Robe", signifying that the wisdom of Prajñāpāramitā protects all sentient beings, dispels delusion, and awakens enlightenment.

@NormanHates76 You’re welcome! Best of luck on your journey.

@acidsutra I see I am already feeling some simillarities with hermetic teachings and buddhism. Im no ways an expert but just skimming I feel like most of the things I have read all point to a few common truths. Thank you this has been a helpful starting point.

I feel zero anxiety about converting others because my confidence in my beliefs is supreme and absolute.
If you really felt you had the best product on the market, would you feel compelled attack others’ products or let yours speak for itself?
“Build it and they will come.”
🔱Occult Hours🔱@OccultHours
IMO your religion and spirituality is corrupted if you can’t stand to be around others with different spiritual beliefs without trying to convert them. It’s one thing trying to uplift someone on their own path and another trying to coerce them

@MYTHOTROPOS @BIMBOSATTVA_ Will work until it doesn’t. Probably for a couple more decades at least.

A lot of people my age keep saying we're at the brink of a horrible recession and I keep telling them that we aren't, because recessions like the days of yore simply can't happen under the reigning neoliberal system where the American dollar is the global currency.
After 2008 the American government figured out that you can basically keep the NUMBERS GO UP economy indefinitely as long as you retain your global hegemony and keep stimulating and pumping money into the economy. This is why COVID tore apart so many Western countries but just bounced off America, stimulus checks meant the economy could keep running while the rest of the world slowed down to a crawl, and all it took was printing and unconditionally distributing money.
The cost of this is, of course, inflation, which is why it's so important to America that it retains its currency hegemony. As long as trade is done in American dollars, inflation isn't a risk to the American economy, because there's still enough demand globally to keep the currency real and functional. For a long time economists didn't think this would work, but it did, and the further we get into the 21st century the more the American economy is built on this premise.
And this also is why America cares so much about de-stabilising the Middle East and retaining military might, this is why the countries foreign policy is driven by the Pentagon and yet is perfectly in lock-step with the economy. In the 70s the Great Dark Lord of America Henry Kissinger, made a deal with Saudi Arabia, and by extension OPEC, to price all oil sales exclusively in dollars, which means perhaps the most important resource globally keeps the American dollar relevant and competitive regardless of how much money printing goes on back home, all that America needs to do is ensure nobody like the Ba'athists or Iran threatens the hegemony of the petrodollar, which is the real reason there's always a war going on there.

S&P 500 sold off by ~10% during the Iran conflict and made a full recovery just 11 trading sessions later. It constituted the fastest V-shaped recovery on record. More charts: a16z.news/p/charts-of-th…

@asdkfjasdlfjd My problem with the book is why it never explains why the meridian is bloody. Wtf is even a meridian anyway.

@MYTHOTROPOS AI can return our crude mental inputs back to us as brilliantly cut gems, but just that. Those who wish it to be something more merely seek sweet relief from the intolerable weight of their own agency and beingness.

@NormanHates76 Also be mindful that there are a million ways to present it. Rather than making snap judgments of any particular teaching, try to understand the underlying principle that unites them. The point of Buddhism is not to fix a doctrine or view but to bring about wisdom and end sorrow.
English

@NormanHates76 You can start by reading the teachings of the Buddha. There are many books and resources out there for this.
Do not believe them blindly, but also examine your own prejudices.
Also, take your time to reflect on them. Some insights take years to mature and that’s okay.
English

@NormanHates76 Buddhism is tailored medicine. All versions of it are merely presentations aimed at the variety of capabilities and inclinations of sentient beings. The end goal is to eliminate obscurations to the clear seeing of reality and causation. Do you have a specific question?
English

@acidsutra What makes your version of buddhism true if I may ask?
No need for long explanations if you could just point me somewhere.

@algekalipso Paragraphs please. Like to read your thoughts but they’re always huge walls of text.

Continuing my investigation of the Avatamsaka Sutra has been delightful and very trippy. Actually, the highlights haven't really been the readings themselves or even the meditation on the concepts presented, but the utterly wild dreams that seem to have flourished as a consequence of engaging with this literature. I'm talking about dissolving not only my human sense of self but the sense of self in a very abstract way. Noticing the dualities we associate with dualistic thinking, not just scratching the surface but entering the Reality Realm, investigating their reality, experiencing them as shadows, as dreams, as echoes, as flames, as illusions. Unmasking the essence of decentralized transcendence within them, trying to grok the path-integral nature of every experience, the duality of oneness and multiplicity, of zero and infinity, internalizing the absence of an interior, externalizing the absence of an exterior, noticing the depth of co-arising happening on many levels. The invariance of consciousness being something far beyond traditional zero-ontology considerations: we're not in the realm of adding all colors together to create white or transparent, we're in the realm of adding diverse properties of consciousness. The feeling of change, the vacuuming of reification, the complementarity of now and never, and a sense that it's all okay because even those who suffer have no self, although I wouldn't endorse this upon reflection in a waking state.
