I recently decided to take a break from the rat race. My last day at my current gig is Aug 9th (so hit me up if you wanna hang out).

I tell ya, I will not be sad if I never see another docker file, or docker compose, or kubectl, or yaml file, or ponderous grpc, or excruciating webpack build time. It's a death by a million tiny bullshit papercuts.

Part of this is just trying to set aside some time for me. But another part of it is just the way that folks are building software these days.

@jkakar We have a god named Gary and he gets it worse than the kids. “Oh sherry” is “oh gary”. “sherry baby” is “gary baby”. I guess it’s all sherry rhymes 🤣

Do you put the silly nicknames you use for kids to tunes and sing them over and over again when calling them? For example, I call both my kids “muffler” (derived from muffin) and sing it over and over again to the tune of Auld Lang Syne when I’m trying to get their attention.

@aconbere creality ender printers seem to be the main choice these days. Not got one myself but I know a couple of people who use them regularly and seem to like them

Anyone have a recommended 3D printer for a relative beginner? Looking to make some relatively simple camera tools, learn, practice.

Couple of nice shots from the Kodak Retina I've been working on. It's not perfect (frame counter still isn't working right). But otherwise the camera is a lot of fun to use, and takes pictures!
