Saskatoon native Dale West, a 3-time CFL West all-star and 1966 Grey Cup champ with Saskatchewan Roughriders, died Tuesday of cancer at 96. West played 106 games at receiver and defensive back 1962-68. He caught 18 passes for 480 yards & 6 TDs, and 17 picks for 265 yards & a TD.

60 years ago - in 1966 - the CFL issued its first annual statistics and facts book with logos at the time of the league and all 9 teams. Prior to that year, the CFL had produced only final stats booklets.
