UK officials destroyed files on one of the most brutal postwar conflicts they fought which began 78 years ago today.
It was to cover up their crimes in Malaya - mass bombings, decapitations, lying, forced villageisation👇

@NotPotBol Why not? Are these projects dependent on colonialism to a fundamental degree?
English

I mean the steps are pretty simple
1. Proletarian revolution
2. Actually build some basic functioning infrastructure and industry
3. Let the west give you infinite money in investment
4. Retain control over all the new stuff stuff being made with the investment.

Everyone leftie econ guys are Chinamaxxing, but never giving instructions on poor countries can replicate China's success. Usually just vague gestures on cheap electrcity and EVs are going to be to the world, fair enough, but never concrete instructions on what to do.

@probablykaffe What's the difference between that and South Africa? An armed, organized group like the EFF?

@acrid1949 Namibia's Indigenous people have gained certain institutional power with laws for redistributing land from settlers to Indigenous people but the government has failed to practice these laws (because they still give settlers, who own most of the land/wealth, democratic rights)

1. Telenovela Aviv
2. You might have a settler state if a dynastic Japanese fascist family is constantly 🤏🏽this close to power

@acrid1949 @Inhumansoflate1 Aren’t you people the same idiots that are rehabilitating Tucker Carlson for speaking against the horrors in Gaza and Iran, despite him supporting the Iraq war before? If so, then how is it different with Mike prysner?

@TheEggpie @fresh_curryleav The impediment is a manifestation of defense mechanisms. It feels good to abuse animals. It feels bad to alienate ourselves from our material cultural conditions.
Does that mean cultural hegemony is perpetual? Foot binding in China stopped.
English

@TheEggpie It is absolutely poisoned by Europeans. So is anti-colonialism. How many Fanonian scholars condemn the proverbial Mau Mau? Jean Paul Sartre is a zionist.
Are you saying that adherents of anti-speciesism have no real praxis beyond moralizing and spats of direct action?
English

@TheEggpie Once <heirarchy of oppression> is unwound, anti-<heirarchy of oppression> will cease to be relevant? Ergo it is controlled opposition??
Controlled by who? For what end?
English

@TheEggpie How many people have read this hadith and come to the conclusion that it is unacceptable to abuse animals when alternatives readily exist in our context? How readily do Abrahamic scholars raise this idea at congregations?

@acrid1949 @biocentering @TheEggpie I essentially agree, but if there are any at all it does begin with the structures of colonialism and imperialism. We can’t dismantle factory farming under this current order anyway
English

@sbcmmndr @biocentering @TheEggpie There's no ordering requirement here. The only vegans who say "put your liberation on hold" are the colonizers, incidentally the same ones who industrialize animal holocaust (Australia, America, Brazil). I want them defeated too, and they will be.
English

@acrid1949 @biocentering @TheEggpie What’s next? National sovereignty and self-determination? I don’t even disagree that factory farming needs to be abolished, but have some real fucking priorities first
