Let me summarise for you guys. As a tenant, you can leave anytime you want, nothing like 12 or 24 months contract. You only have to give your landlord 2 months notice if you need to leave asap. Landlords cannot evict you anytime, maybe because they or their families want to move into the property, they must provide legal grounds like unpaid rent, etc…you can even take them to court if you feel it’s not right and access free legal advice. Landlords can only increase rent once per year, but if you feel it’s above the market rate, you can challenge it that it’s too much. You have a right to a pet, and you can make that request even if landlord says he doesn’t want pet in his property. Summary is that the law is trying to give tenants stronger rights, stability and negotiating power.

@tobyasky @AbeTheDev I stayed in the car with a friend to help him practise for his driving test. We used Waze to go through all the examiner routes, so he could get familiar with the roundabouts. 4 to 5 times we did i think, and he passed on his first attempt. Waze can really help a lot.

One thing I love about driving in Europe and UK is that the road signs are always very obvious. It’s not that one in Lagos that Lastma will even hide for you, or the signs will be invisible. In fact, they’ll even have multiple signs on the roads to warn you, and that is why you cannot drive PASSIVELY in the UK, you must always be aware of everything, I mean everything. I get the reliance of maps (not sure maps will make that mistake to lead you into a bus lane, I highly doubt, but let’s leave it there), but let’s always pay attention to road signs. @tobyasky Waze has been insisting I take a right turn at a specific traffic light but there's a "no right turn" sign on the traffic light. Thank God I treat the sign the first time it happened.

@AsidanyaMiracle Waze is a better app for comfortable driving, especially when it comes to signal use and real time updates. In my opinion, Google map is not as reliable for driving. It can sometimes display incorrect speed limits, which could even lead to getting a speeding ticket.

I just got " to the legal occupier" mail in the box. Tore the mail envelope and saw my husband's car on a "bus lane" with his plate number perfectly captured by the camera. We were reading it together and he was wondering when he used that road. Meanwhile when I saw the date I remembered it was the day I went to do bridal shoot🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ and I went with his car. and I was using map ooo 🤦‍♀️. Map just carried me straight to one way only meant for buses. 🚌
