Just an honest opinion from me this morning Women’s health would look very different if hormonal conditions like PCOS were researched as much as other diseases.#pcos

PCOS weight gain isn’t always about eating too much.
Hormones, insulin resistance, sleep, and stress all play a role.

Many women are told to just lose weight for PCOS without anyone explaining the hormonal reasons weight gain happens in the first place. #pcos

If you have PCOS, then you should definitely add this to your menu The Omega-3s fight inflammation, and the fiber in the Ofada keeps your insulin in check. Healing doesn't have to be boring. Negodu this plate now #pcos

Question for those w vaginas: If you get hurt below the belt do you also get like stabbing pains that go to your vagina. Like when I stub my toe or hit my shin on something it’ll hurt and the pain shoots up to my vagina and it hurts there too

Yes! #PCOS is not exclusive to women who are heavier. You can have this manifestation of metabolic dysfunction even if you are not overweight or obese. It's about your hormones (most especially insulin) - NOT about your weight. Details in this epically long (but hopefully educational) blog post I wrote a few years back. 👉 tuitnutrition.com/2019/06/pcos.h… #keto #nsng #lowcarb #insulinresistance

@DoctorTro I was a normal weight with pcos no acne but facial hair. Utter embarrassment. Then prescribed SSRI’s and forced antipsychotics for PMDD. Years lost Then 49 pounds heavier with cataracts at age 42! Eleven years later found low carb on my own. Keep it up! TY.

Stop sleeping on garden eggs. I turned them into a creamiest smoothie today. It helps with weight loss by keeping you full longer. Packed with antioxidants for a healthy heart.

PCOS doesn’t always shout, sometimes it whispers irregular periods, fatigue, acne, brain fog.
I ignored mine for years. Don’t wait like I did.#pcos
