There seemed to be a bit of a disagreement between Steve Borthwick and Andy Farrell 👀

@SquidgeRugby England absolutely woeful and should donate their match fees purely out of respect, not out of charity. Hard for management to keep backing Farrell as captain let alone a starter. Samoa were fabulous to watch and should have won.

@RufusTSuperfly @lizslayed the way she cut through all the fluff and went straight for the kidney punch. respect.

@ascroftpete @SquidgeRugby yeah it’s wearing quite thin lately. he’s showing his immaturity the last couple weeks. Shame as his analysis is entertaining.
English

@SquidgeRugby Usually a big fan but the blatant England hate is a bit embarrassing. Especially coming from a Wales fan who have robbed a victory and just beat Portugal! Sort out your agendas
English

@SquidgeRugby @garethrees9 it’s getting old though, as much as it’s easy bait.
English

@garethrees9 I’m just very pro-Chile. I’d have said the same if it was anyone else. Including Wales.
English

@mhdksafa Absolutely disgusting. that official should have been named and shamed, and if you offer up any excuse as to why she looked that little girl in the eye then decided to move on to the next competitor, you’re part of the problem.
English

@robkitson is there any room left for nuance in sports writing? Or do we have to live with heroes and villains, with England baring the brunt of all of Rugby’s woes? Isn’t it a bit reductive?

@dieworkwear you’re describing
a) a true Chicago story
b) the beginning of Candyman

im sorry but this is why it's always the curious white person who gets killed in a film. my asian ass would peer down that hallway and go back to my room.

just discovered one of the closets in my hotel room leads to this

@Hally_Mufc @SamLStandsUp @fidelgavstro because controversy generates clicks. it’s easy: you come out with a controversial take - the more puerile the better- and all the opinions come a running at once. Job done.
English

@SamLStandsUp @adabis @fidelgavstro What issue? There’s no issue? Some people thought it was a more game due to lack of attacking quality and accuracy. Others enjoyed the physical, backs against the wall and front up from England. Why does everyone always have to be right on this app?
English

🙄 you’d expect consistency right?
Wrong. World Rugby make it up as they go along

Martín Sigren Yellow Card 🟨 Bunker review in play… If Tom Curry’s card is anything to go by, this will be a red card. #RWC2023 | #JPNvCHI
English

@SquidgeRugby We, argentinians, demand the game be replay but with curry on the field
English

@SamLStandsUp @fidelgavstro sorry who decides what was a good game of rugby? twitter pundits get to dictate to the rest of us? bit patronising no?
English

@adabis @fidelgavstro So I guess there's two obvious things isn't there?
1. Should England be happy with the result? Did they perform above expectations? Was Ford excellent? Yes 100%
2. Was the game therefore good as a game of rugby? No.
The issue comes from people who can't separate those two.
English

@SamLStandsUp @fidelgavstro that was - against all the flak we’ve thrown at them for the last 6months: a great performance. not an attacking masterplass. yes Argentina were very poor. but one man down all match to completely control the narrative: I don’t see how anyone calls that a dreadful game sorry.
English

@EllisGenge Own the situation. Being petulant on social media won’t help
English

@JoeMarler Not quite the winning attitude & just about sums up where this team are at. Bunker mentality only works if you actually turn up to play..
English

@RugbyInsideLine This is a good thing. Money talks. The only way the RFU will start taking accountability once the coffers dry up.

We’re heading into the World Cup…
It’s virtually impossible not to fill out Twickenham! What is going on?!

Telegraph Sport understands that around 40,000 tickets have been sold for the final warm-up match against Fiji on Saturday with the upper deck of Twickenham being blocked off. @danscho1
