Which classic gun should return as a Pearl in #Borderlands4 ? Personally, I always liked the Brainstormer's effect from BL3; add a Maliwan Switch for more elements and Deadalus Multiloader augment damage/firerate.

@EpicNNG The MHW thing was reported to be overblown, wasn't it? The stated performance drop only occurs in proximity to the character in that game that you can open the dlc by talking to. Similar yeah, but if this is true BL4's is actually worse unfortunately

It has been a while since I've spoken about Symbiote, the Anti-Tamper Software present in Borderlands 4. The more we look into/think about it, the more likely it is that this software is causing some of the performance issues within Borderlands 4 due to the assumed license checking it does in memory. According to a dataminer who has looked into what Symbiote is doing in the background, it runs a check roughly every half second to check in mem for what we can only assume is in relation to content licenses Of course without breaking it open *fully*, we can't know for sure what it's doing, and why it happens to be doing it (and the impact it has at runtime) but it's something I am rather concerned about, especially if it will be in future titles going forward. I don't want to scare or mislead anyone with this post because unlike my other information, I cannot confirm this. Please take it with a grain of salt. But if this is true, it pretty much means it's end result is similar to that of what we heard from Monster Hunter Wilds a few days ago, which in combination with Denuvo would explain a lot of the performance issues people saw/see with BL4. It's safe to assume this is publisher invoked, not developer. Now that the Open Beta has gone live... the player count for Black Ops 7 has peaked at just 99K Less than 1/5 of Battlefield 6's Beta player count which was 500K. Open beta vs Open Beta (Even after removing SBMM, and including player counts for Warzone and BO6... yikes)
