@Dartagan_Llore So you openly admit that this "ban" on widespread grocery store sales of alcohol is... purely to protect a few ppl. Consumer be damned. What other industry should this protectionism be applied to? Should Amazon delivery be banned in Maryland?

@JustAFamilyMan_ Big part of this is Baltimore flushed their pro-crime DA Mosby, replaced her with law-n-order DA Ivan "The Legend" Bates Like night and day

Baltimore is leading the way with a 60% drop in homicides since 2021, with other cities like Philly at 40%, and Chicago at 30%. And what stands out for me is that the median age in these cities sits around 34. My theory is that this shift is simply a generation aging out of crime

@C_W_England I can say as a Baltimorean folk are just getting older. I mean it does help that the city is going after violent repeat offenders, but for a lot of it, people don’t have no time for the nonsense they in their teens and 20s.

@GovWesMoore What won’t lower long‑term prices (but keeps getting pitched) ❌ Bill credits & rebates ❌ Utility profit caps ❌ One‑time state funding ❌ Slowing efficiency spending ❌ “Holding utilities accountable” rhetoric ❌ Renewable targets without firm backup

In January, I led a coalition of Democratic and Republican governors to the White House to call for energy reform. We called on PJM to cap the price of energy, and in February, they extended that cap through the end of the decade. It’s projected to save 67 million Americans – including millions of Marylanders – an additional $27 billion on their energy bills, over $400 for customers. But we need to do more. We’re pushing every lever at our disposal to put more money in people's pockets and holding big companies accountable, and I’m thankful that Democrats and Republicans in Annapolis have come together to deliver this win for Marylanders.

California has the highest state taxes on gasoline, they collect more in revenue per gallon than refiners make in profit

@adam_j_walker @BaltimoreBanner Wait….. what do you think ‘natural gas’ means and how it plays into your energy supply? You can’t be this dim, even if you repeat scripted rhetoric you don’t understand

@BarboneGeo @BaltimoreBanner You moved the goal posts. The post is about electricity bills in Maryland and has nothing to do with oil and gas. Maybe read the article?

@GovWesMoore This is a simple Econ 101 sir. You can’t fix this without increasing baseload supply instate.

Marylanders should not be asked to subsidize the soaring energy demands of large new data centers. As we work to build an affordable and reliable energy future, we need rules that protect families and businesses, strengthen the grid, and ensure that the biggest new contributors to growth pay their fair share.

@GovWesMoore The Maryland Renewable Portfolio Standard subsidizes renewables, how is that any different?

@iamcardib DC is amazing. Baltimore, while trying to revitalize some areas, has decided to decimate the harbor…its former prized possession. Sad to see how much that city has regressed in the past 10-15 years.

@BarboneGeo @BaltimoreBanner There is no subsidy for gas and oil in your utility bill in Maryland. There is for renewables, get educated on the Renewable Portfolio Standard.

@mddems Maryland is the 3rd most educated state in the US. While gaslighting may work on some people here, it's certainly a minority. Moore is doing a wonderful job and he fully has my support

@LauraHayesDC I have started having a better experience with pre-scheduling rides with both companies. Scheduled ahead definitely serves a different function — like it’s for a specific arrival time event — but I no longer have the driver cancelling those and waiting for someone else to show.

Is the steep decline in Uber & Lyft accuracy and reliability happening in other cities beyond DC? If the apps say they will get you a ride in four minutes, as soon as you book it’s 12 minutes and lately not even that has been accurate. Four-minute offers are more like 20 minutes.
