A League Arbitration Panel has today dismissed Southampton Football Club’s appeal against the Independent Disciplinary Commission’s decision in respect of breaches of EFL Regulations. As a result, the original sanction remains in force. Southampton’s expulsion from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs stands, alongside the four-point deduction to be applied to the Club’s 2026/27 Championship record and the reprimand in respect of all charges. In accordance with EFL Regulations, the decision of the League Arbitration Panel is final. Following the conclusion of the proceedings, the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final between Hull City and Middlesbrough is confirmed as taking place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 23 May, kicking off at 3.30pm. #EFL

An Independent Disciplinary Commission has today expelled Southampton from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs after the Club admitted to multiple breaches of EFL Regulations related to the unauthorised filming of other Clubs’ training. In addition, the Club has received a four-point deduction that will be applied to the 2026/27 Championship table. The effect of today’s order is that Middlesbrough are reinstated into the 2026 Play-Offs and will proceed to the Play-Off Final against Hull City. @adamfletcher03 Haha yeah be deffo a good test then. I would just keep a little something in the tank for the final say 13 miles as you head up the kirby moor. Its a decent climb & can start get hot if you’ve got the weather :) send you the strava route if you need.

So got my 1st couple of DNSs coming up :( 🎻 had a week off running, think it’s getting better, but this groin injury is doing my head in! I’ve had to pull out of a 40mile local race this weekend & think its sensible to pull out of SDW100 in June too 😢

@TrailsAndAlesUK Cheers, no it will be my first time this year. I’m on the back of the Shakespeare marathon and Chorley 10k in the last 7 days, not sure if my legs are knackered or i’m super fit 😂. Looks challenging though

Blackburn Rovers are devastated to learn of the passing of Tony Parkes. A true club legend, often referred to as ‘Mr Blackburn Rovers’, Tony passed away last night at the age of 76. Everyone at the club sends their deepest heartfelt condolences to Tony’s daughter Natalie and all his family and friends at this incredibly sad time. A special tribute will be held to celebrate Tony’s life and his outstanding contribution to the club’s history at our final home game of the season against Leicester City on Saturday May 2nd.

On my way to North Wales yesterday, near Frodsham, I saw a convoy of 8 or 9 identical silver Rolls/Bentleys all with reg plates like this, all main beams on, shifting pretty rapidly.. Bizarrely, on the way home, I saw them again on the M62.. Any idea what/who?

@Surreycricfan Excitement is in the people who watch the game. Sometimes games are good,sometimes not. T100 is unique-the only cricket competition in the world to promote Womens & Mens games as a permanent double header. It's such a successfull format that T20 is now trying to copy it.

And the ECB would rather play the hundred in August and not a T20 tournament which brings so much more excitement…. 🏏
