I preached this sermon to my dad. I am preaching this sermon to my spouse even though em no dey hear word. I will even go as far as pretending i need to shop and ask him to come with me then from there pick him tons of things i know he deserves as a hard working man that tends to put his family first. Right now i have made it a routine to make him and my sons go for spa, pedicure and manicure, massage, shopping, vacation, alone time and party with the boys because every hardworking man deserves the same level of care as children and women. And i want my sons to not see those things as luxury but as a necessity, So they can make good husbands and fathers in the future. Men should learn how to take care of themselves while taking care of the world!!

It’s so difficult to have honest conversations with you all on this app. How do you label a man who lives in the US, files for a woman from Nigeria, and pays all the necessary bills to bring her over, a “failed man”? Secondly, many of you keep regurgitating the narrative that men intentionally go home to marry women specifically because they’re nurses. While that does happen, it’s not always the case. For instance, in the most recent situation in my city, both partners were nurses. Can we, for once, have a genuine and honest conversation about these issues without unnecessary generalizations?

Maybe you should also reach out to these women to hear their side of the story. No? We push this narrative every market day but fail to realize that most of these men married these women for their profession. A failed man in the US comes to Nigeria to marry a nurse or marries a woman from Nigeria and makes her study nursing ( mind you, there are thousands of men in nursing in the US; this man could have gone to nursing school himself). Once the woman starts working, he tries to control the money, becomes a stay-at-home husband, and uses her money to live the American dream. The worst cases are those who spend the woman’s money on other women. These men are still the traditional Nigerian men who would never assist in house chores; they are full of ego and entitlement. Once these women become wiser and can't take it anymore, they run online to push “ After bringing her to the US agender.” When I was in nursing school, these men came to the school or sent relatives to look for wives. One relative approached me and specifically requested a nurse in her finals. What were their motives? I had another one who was lurking in the corner, waiting for me to graduate, and then brought the marriage and bringing me to the US shit. I had to put him in his place. My advice to these men, go to nursing school yourselves!!! Invest in your own education!!
