@HagazagaH @bryan_johnson Became an end unto itself like looksmaxxing, also could be multiple reasons. The thrill of being "that guy", a pioneering spirit, getting and sustaining media attention, autism, sunk-cost, self-identification with a surrogate activity (not saying any of these necessarily).

Question @bryan_johnson: How much time per day do you invest in ALL your anti-aging research/efforts/lifestyle, and is all this time less AND worse than what you are predicted to gain - so that it's indeed a cost-efficient practice rather than wasting more lively years doing so?

Bryan Johnson reveals why he uses an umbrella even when it’s not raining and UV levels are low “90% of physical skin aging is from the sun, so this is a UV umbrella protecting me”

@TOfnuggets20122 @n30n5223434 Popularizing findings is important. I've read his literature overviews on topics that I know well, they're nuanced and clear. He's also done good work correcting pub. health misinformation. That's more pluses than minuses in my book. Don't care/opine much about his "personality".

@aday411 @n30n5223434 The "useful" stuff he posts is nearly always a regurgitation of well-known studies etc in order to present himself as having more merit other than just being a xitter poster. The issues he cares about, like this, you really see him going full in on dishonesty.

He also made up a lie about the Turkish results in TIMSS 2023 saying Turkey sent older students even though this wasn't the case, he was upset that Turkey surpassed several European countries in math achievement.

@cremieuxrecueil x.com/n30n5223434/st… You've blocked the account you're accusing, so I'll let people see for themselves. Also none have anything to do with your doxxing by the Guardian (the source scraped your name from Manifest). Moreover, perpetually playing the victim card is pathetic.
Auctor@n30n5223434

JL is seething about me and saying that I'm a doxxer (he literally has a Wikipedia page, that's as much of a doxx as mentioning Donald Trump's middle name), moreover, he called me a liar even doe the xeet is real and it was him who got upset about Turkey out of nowhere.

Puzzle: You have 12 balls and a scale. All the balls weigh the same but one. Can you find the ball with a unique weight using 3 weighing operations? Jeremy Bernstein was proud he solved this in a night. A guy he played chess with solved it in minutes. youtube.com/watch?v=5XKd9F…

@ArchysLife Atatürk was a pragmatic realist and would have likely been a big fan of Israeli nation building had he lived into the 60s like İnönü. (Not saying he would see Israel as a friend or ally.)

Herasight's making a controversy with their IQ prediction service. If you're new to reprogenetics, I strongly recommend watching this video first as a more *general* introduction to polygenic scores. Many common concerns about the field are addressed here. youtube.com/watch?v=n64rrR…

@EMehmetKiral @Empty_America It's widely known by the serious people in this field that titles and abstracts frequently undersell findings to appear more non-threatening and avoid accusations of eugenics. Why not link the actual Herasight paper instead? doi.org/10.65550/001c.…

@EMehmetKiral @Empty_America Your paper's 7 years old, and I don't think you actually read it. IQ is colloquially used to mean general intelligence. Test-retake correlation is certainly not as large as you say, and not relevant here. The woman in question had IIRC 46 euploids from 4 cycles. That's a lot.

@aday411 @Empty_America It's 2.5 on average. And even retaking the exam again causes 7.5-10.5. Not to mention the costs. In order to get sufficient embryo samples, how many cycles are you putting the poor woman through. Do these folicule stimulators have no adverse effects on the women or embryo dev?
